When Knuckles first came to us, he had already endured more than any dog should. He’d spent months alone on the reserve. Scared, starving, and nursing a broken leg. His eyes told us everything: he’d been through a lot, and he wasn’t sure if things were ever going to get better. At first, he was quiet and shy, unsure of the world around him. But little by little, Knuckles began to heal—not just physically, but emotionally too. I’ll never forget the moment he took his first steps on his healing leg. I still have the video. Watching him try, wobble, and then keep going… it was one of the most uplifting moments we’ve ever experienced. Once he realized he was safe, Knuckles’ true personality started to shine through. He was sweet, silly, smart, and had a quiet strength that made everyone fall in love with him. He settled in quickly, showing us how much love he had to give. Knuckles eventually found his forever home with a kind couple and their friendly pup. Now he gets to live the life he always deserved—full of companionship, love, and stability.
